Wayne was born in Cardiff, UK, and now lives in the Czech Republic near the border with Germany. A fondness for truancy and his mother’s deteriorating health, led him to be taken into a children’s home at the age of nine. He lived there until he left school at sixteen then he was adopted by his best friend’s family who took him to the highlands of Scotland to live with them. He stayed for 28 years.
He studied engineering at Inverness College and found employment in the oil and gas industry as a technician, document controller and quality inspector. During the industry slump, he found work as an insurance agent, a van driver and as an assistant for an American antiques dealer. He is now a client’s representative, offering inspection and quality control services through his own company Delavega Consultancy. He also does copywriting work on procedures and standards for a Czech engineering firm.
His work has taken him to Austria, Norway, Sweden, Italy, Germany, Kazakhstan and Czech Republic. Having briefly dabbled in motorcycles, canoeing, flying, fencing, golf, guitar, piano, saxophone and the study of a LLB, he decided to take up writing.
His first novel is called Cries from the Darkness, a mystery/adventure in a protagonist called Scarlet Honey, and her two friends, Emily and Jude.
He has just completed his second book, a fantasy novel called The Secret of the Sanguine Stones
